Memorial Hermann hospital system in Houston terminates agreement with Humana’s Medicare Advantage networks

Medicare Advantage plans are offered primarily to Americans aged 65 and older. Patients impacted by the fallout between Memorial Hermann and Humana will be forced to pay out-of-network costs or find new doctors in order to continue paying in-network prices for medical services.

@RoverStoker @WillBlackWriter There are literally MILLIONS. The number 1 cause of #bankruptcy in the US is #MedicalDebt. Ambulance services are owned by #VentureCapital firms now. The cost of a trip to the hospital in an ambulance may NOT be covered by insurance unless the company is “#InNetwork”. Consultation with a specialist (#PlasticSurgeon, #OrthopedicSurgeon, #Cardiologist, etc…) in the Emergency Room may not be covered if they are not “in network”.
