That's the reason why #CERN started #InfiniteScale which is now #opencloud. They could not accomplish what they needed with the sluggish PHP they were using before... afaik.

Well, in the old times when I was still with #owncloud we did some testing and we found that OUR PHP stack (in ownCloud Classic) was seven to ten times less efficient (and slower) than the new, Go-based stack of #InfiniteScale which is now actually #opencloud. I'd be surprised if that has changed...

Have you considered the docker compose setup that we ship as example? It is supposed to solve many of the problems you saw for you, and comes with a huge feature set and easy configuration: https://github.com/owncloud/ocis/tree/master/deployments/examples/ocis_full

#nextcloud has some sever security issues. Solution: Migrate to #owncloud, especially #InfiniteScale. I wouldn't go back anymore, all that speed and more.

Okay … #OwnCloud #OCIS #InfiniteScale doesn't work with #Ceph #RadosGW, because Ceph is incompatible with a sent header https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/64465, and disabling PutObjectDisableContentSha256 https://github.com/owncloud/ocis/blob/v5.0.5/services/storage-users/pkg/config/config.go#L154 doesn't have _any_ effect.

Anyone got OCIS running against Ceph S3?
