Trump-Putin Expectations, Trump and D.C. Homelessness, Inflation Check-In

The White House tempers expectations of a breakthrough during the Trump-Putin summit. The Trump administration says unhoused people who refuse to leave "encampments" or accept mental health help could be fined or jailed. And U.S. core inflation remains high. (Since the judicial branch is also owned by THEM, there goes the 8th Amendment for simply not having a place to live because its #Illegal2BHomeless in #AmeriKKKa and #TheSilenceContinues. Next is the gas chambers)

...how is it #illegal2bhomeless but not #illegal to evict entire buildings full of people into the streets?

...oh yeah, thats right...slumlords generate profits for the state and the poor and homeless dont, *unless you make their existence criminal, then you can profit from the slave #labour and "#medical trials" of locking them up and experimenting on them...*

@LuisCrespo

Just like the 4th means they cant take your things when in public spsce? It sure as hell dont stop them from stealing homeless peoples life saving things like a tent and sleeping bag. What makes anyone has the right just because they live in a brick/wooden box???

Decades of practice with #Illegal2BHomeless laws.

#TheSilenceContinues

...while all the well known global tyrants and bullies soak up every bit of "ink" and media publicity to detail each word and aspect of their escalating imperialist ego battles, there is no debate or compassionate coverage for the tens of thousands of people around the world who are dying right now in the harsh cold of winter...because we are #homeless and no one will "dare" take us in, we are banned from and penalized for making a fire to keep warm, and our very existence is marked as "illegal".

...for those of us who manage to survive it, there will be no media frenzy or public outrage against the insane number of us who lost toes, fingers, feet, hands, limbs, or even the tips of our ears and noses because we were forced to remain sleeping outside in the snow and ice, in negative temperatures, and with cutting cold high winds...while minions of these same attention grabbing tyrants came and stole our tents, tarps, blankets, food, water, and clothing.

...no. winter will pass, spring will come, and the people who see us as trash will pretend not to see us at all while stepping over our weary, maimed, or dead bodies without care.

...so while i huddle in a hole over my own hidden fire, also invisibly fighting to survive the season, i mourn the uncounted dead, the forgotten and "swept" away...and i weep4us a11 who endure this perpetual suffering...💔

...like a sick and twisted modern "book of numbers", this heartwrenching #streetroots article exposes the details of abductions and property theft dealt to real people during raids against the #homeless, in just the first 6 months of last year, in just one city of one state!...

...first it calls out the contrast of what the tyrant figurehead lies state about "solving #homelessness" to sedate the public every month, and then follows with a list of folks abducted and items stolen from them, per month.

these state thefted items are literally "bagged, tagged" and stored in a warehouse, and include life saving medications and personal property such as: "Portable heater, Wheelchair and a walker, 2 carts, 3 strollers. car seat, tools, clothes, [tarps] and tents, headphones, suitcases, walker chair, cane, bike...” etc

...in just 6 months, this report shows over 4thousand raids, harming over 6thousand people, and the theft of over 6thousand bags of personal property......and the attacks havent stopped.

...just imagine the numbers for a full year, multiplied by all the cities in all the states...in all the world...

"Many communities have laws that criminalize activities #homeless people need to do in public to survive, including:

*Sitting or lying down
...
*Eating or sharing food
...
*Sleeping in cars, outside, or camping

Not only is the cost of criminalizing #homelessness high, but it does nothing to solve homelessness and violates #humanrights. Anti-homeless legislation leads to homeless people being arrested or fined, [*or dragged off to a 'nuthouse' and drugged against their consent*] which makes it harder to find #housing and jobs and access social services."

Criminalizing Homelessness Is Fueling Violence Against Homeless People

Experts warn criminalizing homelessness is increasing violence against unhoused people while failing to reduce homelessness itself.

...this vile garbage really pissed me off...talking about how to "deal with" #homeless folks like we arent humans....nah, just some dirty thing to wash off and make disappear so their "businesses" wont be affected...🤮

..."protect and serve"?!

...haha, yeah sure: protect the systems, corporate interests, gov tyranny and constantly serve the people a thick brutal boot of perpetual suffering and terror...

Support the North #Portland (#PDX) Drop-In Center

*This petition is for current residents, business owners, and workers of #StJohns*

This is a counter petition to the one currently circulating in the St. Johns community seeking to close the Drop-In Center, established to provide services to the #houseless community.

We feel this is a critical resource for our houseless community members. We strongly feel that the problems being projected in local media can best be served by the community through education, de-escalation training, a more robust mutual aid network, and an increase of community involvement with the houseless community.

The Drop-In Center primarily provides services for our houseless community members in St. Johns who would not otherwise have access to these services. Services do not require a referral and include:

Case management from peer providers who can connect clients with longer-term services. That could include helping clients obtain necessary documents for #housing, #healthcare, providing referrals to community partners and behavioral #health support services, connecting clients with government benefits, and more.
#Housing navigation assistance, including identifying and eliminating barriers to housing, assistance with applications and fees, and other support services.
#Hygiene services, including laundry and showers, with access to travel-size toiletries as available.
Limited #meals offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, in addition to pantry items and hot and cold beverages.
Mailing address services. People will be able to sign up to have mail delivered to the day center; not having a stable mailing address can be a key barrier to people seeking housing.

The problems attributed to the Center in local media would be greatly exacerbated if it was closed. We understand this is not the solution to #houselessness, which would be a housing first policy, but a lifeline for those who have nowhere else to turn.

No more #Illegal2BHomeless in #AmeriKKKa #Homeless people have rights too!!! #Homeless

i don't need convincing about this war - i see the bodies, almost every day.

i wonder if anyone's keeping count of how many homeless people have died so far under the blood-thirsty watch of #mayorkeithwilson

his cluelessness in sticking to his talking points while people die in the streets is disgusting.
