Event organised by il Berlin and the PostKom group
War has been raging in Eastern Europe for four years. This has changed the geopolitical situation of many countries in the region.
From the outset, Poland has played a significant role in supporting Ukraine, both economically, politically and, above all, militarily.
Due to its history, Poland has perceived Russia as a threat since before the war began and, as a consequence, has massively strengthened its armament and militarisation programme. Poland is also held up as a role model in the armament debate in this country.
At our event, we want to explore the question of whether Poland will become an important geopolitical player in the region in the coming years and what the consequences of this might be.
We also want to shed light on the debates in Polish society and on the Polish left about the war in Ukraine.
