Kamera Apple rozpozna osoby bez widocznej twarzy

Nowy raport sugeruje, że Apple planuje wprowadzenie kamery bezpieczeństwa w 2026 roku, a większość użytkowników wyraziła zainteresowanie zakupem. Oczekuje się, że kamera wykorzysta funkcje Apple Intelligence, co potwierdza nowo przyznany patent.

Patent opisuje system, który identyfikuje osoby nie tylko na podstawie twarzy, ale również cech fizycznych, takich jak ubranie, sylwetka czy sposób chodzenia. Kamera najpierw rozpoznaje twarz, a następnie przypisuje dodatkowe dane fizyczne, co umożliwia późniejsze identyfikowanie osoby, nawet gdy twarz jest niewidoczna.

Przechowywane dane, np. o ubraniu, mogą być tymczasowe, natomiast bardziej trwałe cechy, jak sylwetka czy „ślad ruchu” (np. sposób chodzenia), mogą być przechowywane dłużej.

Choć nie wszystkie patenty Apple trafiają do produktów, kamera bezpieczeństwa wydaje się naturalnym kierunkiem rozwoju, szczególnie z funkcjami AI, które znacznie zwiększają jej potencjał.

Oczywiście zakładam, że produkt byłby w pełni kompatybilny z Apple HomeKit.

The most unexpected thing for me in today's #AppleEvent was the background cameo of an #Apple #iSight camera (or at least its box) during the segment on the #iPhone15Pro camera systems. While I'm sure there are all sorts of goodies scattered around Apple's campus, it sure seems odd for a device discontinued 15 years ago to be sitting on top of a parts box on somebody's workstation.

I had one of these cameras, they were great for the time, and I've long wished that Apple would once again offer a modern high quality external webcam for desktop users. While I'm not going to get my hopes up, it would be nice if this was a hint of a future product!
