I'm enjoying my use of London's rentable electric bikes, usually Human Forest.

Recently I took a look at Voi electric scooters. They have them in Oxford and maybe London too.
Their sign up process asks for an image of a photographic ID document AND a selfie photograph. That rang warning bells for me. I wondered if anyone has studied their privacy policy, and knows what they will do with such data? I haven't had a chance to look at it in detail.

I also wondered if most folks are happy to do this kind of thing, or like me, feel a degree of discomfort, and worry about ending up in some commercialised database or image set.

I think mostly I just feel, you don't need to know what I look like, to rent me your scooter. Mind your own business!
