Most state offices and schools are closed tomorrow due to expected severe rain, wind, and potential flooding on Oʻahu. Hoping everyone stays safe and the flooding doesn’t happen again. This is our 4th closure in 3 months. #HiWeather

I’m hearing the rain outside getting harder again… worried for folks on the North Shore and Waialua areas who have already had to evacuate and experienced damages during this second Kona low in as many weeks. 🙏 #HiWeather Also, hope Maui will be ok.

The Kona Low rain this week caused campus closures around noon. The island has had flooding in some areas. We had some leaking on the 2nd floor of the library. This was taken in a staff area. #HiWeather #preservation Our custodian set this up to catch all the leaks in a tarp and empty into a trash can. I helped with another set-up (not pictured). #libraryLife

The Kona low rains are back. Some folks are experiencing flooding. I am safe and glad to have power and no flooding. #HiWeather

Yesterday was the second time this year, where schools and the university system (on multiple islands) closed due to severe weather in the form of LOTS of rain and/or high winds. I forgot to post about it. I don’t remember this happening other than for hurricanes in the past.. On IG some folks are posting flooding in their areas. Power went out for a lot of folks. So far I’m not having issues with flooding or power. 🙏 #HIWeather
We are having a severe weather warning here in Hawaiʻi. All University of Hawaiʻi system campuses are closed tomorrow, February 9th, so I won't be going to work, but am supposed to pick up my friend arriving at the airport. Hope his flight lands safely, and hope everyone stays safe. #HiWeather
Got rained on during an impromptu evening walk! #honolulu #hawaiiWeather #HawaiiWx #hiWeather I actually enjoyed it. It was pouring at times but this is when I got to a partially covered spot and started filming it. Just to remember it. ☺️#walkingInTheRain #Walking #rain
It’s very windy on Oʻahu, but sounds much worse on Maui and Hawaiʻi island. Hope everyone stays safe. #hiwx #hiweather
Who gets cold when it’s 70 degrees out? Me, that’s who. #hiweather #winterinhawaii 🥶 :sheepoSleepo:
