@ScottEdelman I straight up forgot that Don worked on those Wasteland comics. For a long time I knew Del Close only as the writer of this comic. He goes to #Heroescon pretty consistently so I should bring some of those this year.

I had an absolute brain fart one year and brought Normalman #1. Wrong superhero parody!

Today is the day when #Heroescon 2026 passes go on sale. If you plan on attending all three days and $75 is not a debilitating sum for you, then the VIP passes are totally worth it. You get a shirt, some tchoctchkes, prints and such but the real benefit is getting on the show floor an hour earlier than the non-VIP passholders each day. It's a great time for seeing people who will have long lines later!

HEROESONLINE :: HeroesCon 2025

The frustrating bit about this is that I decided to get my act together and book early since hotel reservations are the easiest and cheapest bit of travel to cancel. There is no downside to booking on the possibility and cancelling on the reality.

I wanted to book right after #heroescon ended this year, but the rooms weren't even bookable until September and then the price was weird for two months. That will teach me to be organized and proactive.

For months the Hampton Inn on MLK in Charlotte was oddly high priced for a stay during #heroescon. It wasn't Thursday through Saturday that were the problem. If you stayed Sunday, which I prefer to do, a one king room was normal but a two queen room was $968 for that one night, more than the whole rest of the stay. Clearly not righteous but it was the listed price.

Checked today, price was a more normal $135 so I booked it. For once I won't be scrambling in May to book the room!

@srfirehorseart Thank you! So much! Currently reading #Recursion. Picked up lots of good stuff at #heroescon on our annual family trek, including Amy Chu's Carmilla. :-) If you have any recommendations, please say!

We went to #HeroesCon 2025, and we are here to tell you all about our adventure!

This anthology is raising funds for comics creators affected by Hurricane Helene. It's close to goal with not much time left. Please consider backing this project if you want the anthology which looks very good and/or if you support the cause.

I learned about this from panel audio from #Heroescon published by the Dollar Bin Podcast. Thanks to them!

At #Heroescon I learned about this anthology project which is raising money for comics creators affected by Hurrican Helene in western North Carolina. I just pledged, please consider doing so if you want to help/and or would like this cool book.

Here’s a couple of contributions I made to the #HeroesCon drink and draw. I did 4 all together but didn’t photograph all of them.
It’s not a #HeroesCon without unicorn poo fudge.
