This amazing print of a bearded man dates from about 1518 and is by Hans Baldung (c1484-1545). His signature here has a "G" in it, indicating his nickname of "Grien" (Green) which is presumed to have been given to him because of his love of the colour. #hansbaldung #woodcuts #woodcut #prints #print
