Ukraine’s former energy minister is charged with money laundering.
Former energy minister Herman Halushchenko was charged with money laundering and involvement in a criminal group as part of the country’s corruption investigation around the state nuclear power company Energoatom, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office announced on Monday.

Justice Minister Herman #Halushchenko and Energy Minister Svitlana #Hrynchuk submitted their resignation on Nov. 12 amid a large-scale corruption scandal, Prime Minister Yulia #Svyrydenko said.
Halushchenko is being investigated by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) as part of a large-scale corruption case into Energoatom involving Timur Mindich, a close associate of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
