As Newport and I approach 10 years together, I guess it isn't that surprising that his work, when it's good, is really good. Today was one of those days where having a guide dog made the trip fun and efficient. Considering he had lung cancer, and he's going to be 12 in February, he is doing fantastic. Of course, I'd normally never work a guide this long, but it's almost been 2 years and I'm still waiting for a class date. #GuideDogsfortheBlind #GDB #waiting
My sweet dog got the best news today! He got the all-clear to return to work! Hurray!!! #GuideDogsfortheBlind #backtowork Considering he's 11 and has survived lung cancer and the surgery to remove it, and he's still eager to go back to work, I think he's obviously got quite a strong will in him, and a high motivation to keep living life to its fullest.
lifestyle is a rollercoaster of emotions, and even though it can be gut-wrenching, the benefits outweigh the costs (metaphorically speaking, LOL). As I start my 19th year, I am waiting for a class date to train with my 4th (technically 5th) dog. #GuideDogsforTheBlind #GDB
