Potato avalanches! In the back room, as chaos grows, the potatoes stack higher and higher, until they tumble over, crushing anything in their path! And restricting travel through that area! Though, also, as chaos grows, you can discover a runaway yam friend. #grocergame
Mini-game Idea: Tomatoes on the vine tend to make convenient tetromino shapes. Tomato Tetris! #grocergame
Oh, and today it dawned on me this would be a perfect project to learn and use @Luanti! That's an exciting revelation for me. #nibzgames #grocergame #luanti
One ideas today was that, with enough chaos, the compactors (there's one here for cardboard, and another for garbage) start talking to you when you deposit their respective items. They do *not* like each other. Garbage thinks cardboard is pretentious, picky, and entitled; cardboard thinks garbage is loud, obnoxious, uncultured, and braggadocios. Both *love* when you fees them their items. #nibzgames #grocergame
I picked up a part-time job at a local grocer, and every time I'm working in this store, all I can think of are different ways I'd make a video game about it. Having given it some thought, my current framework is a mix of mini games (ex: stocking tomatoes), liminal spaces (ex: the hallway behind the deli where I'm surrounded on both sides by shelves of boxes), and fending off an invasion from another dimension through establishing order against the invading chaos. #gamedev #nibzgames #grocergame
