Never in my life had I witnessed this level of corruption so out in the open, so blatant and above all so defiant and arrogant. In the midst of the holiday season, after dragging out a process that should've ended the same day we held elections (November 30th), the National Electoral Council in Honduras declared that the nationalist party candidate is the new president of Honduras, yesterday. There is an environment of bleakness and absolute disgust amongst people, almost falling into indifference because of how long it took for results to finally be revealed. The point was exactly that, to exhaust the masses and drain them of any energy for an uprising and revolution. Right now, mostly, people want peace and calm amongst their families yet, we know what is coming. Increased taxes, mass migration, endless privatization, frozen wages, heightened state repression and persecution and the never failing tactic of increased police and military budgets and incarceration of the lower classes.

Very rich content about Honduras over at the internet archive. I'm always taken aback by how much the U.S. government recorded their continuous invasion of our country which proves how useful our people have been in the building of empire and how vital our geopolitical location has been for them to secure their meddling into other countries of Latam. All this footage of course, is propaganda. Meant to paint them as kind, noble work providers and us, the willing and eager little helpers who benefit from such cooperation.

This particular snippet shows how much power the fruit companies had in our territory during periods of war (they still do but its much more covert ), forcing our government to declare war on Germany and Japan (imagine!), because the U.S. had to send its ships overseas to fight (while also employing Hondurans who died in wars).
