I have no idea if Harvey Couture is part of Tom Novembre & Charlélie Couture's family tree but this album will probably please les gens branchés sur Alex Sadkin with Grace Jones at Compass Point Studios, or much -more accurately- to Nicky Skopelitis producing Ann Boyle.

I imagine my Walkman™ & me in a NYC Subway train with Bernard Zekri wondering how he forgot stepping out at Odéon. A very enjoyable album if you fancy that sonic family eventhough Leng wrongly describes the music as “the influence of languid, sunset-ready European pop records“ [sic], which is, hopefully, nowhere near to my ears.

Sometimes thought to be a painting, the image, it turns out, was a Victorian-era photograph of a man who made thatched roofs for cottages in Wiltshire, a rural county in southwestern England. His name was Lot Long and he was 69 at the time, according to Brian Edwards, a researcher who found the photo.

32 minutes of joy.

In 1971, Randy Newman did three nights at The Bitter End in Greenwich Village.

These were recorded, and from those recordings, a 30 minute promotional LP for distribution to radio stations was produced.
Eventually, it was released as Newman's third album

There's songs from his first two albums, a couple of songs other people recorded and a couple of songs that would be released on Sail Away.

One of the very greatest songwriters.
