Last night I finally finished a #babyblanket that I’ve been making for several months. I kept picking it up and putting it down, and then the baby arrived last week! I hate doing #grannysquares.

Anyway, sewed it all together, added a border, and tags (and removable washing instructions) last night and then, as seen in the second photo, made a little something extra for it.

The couple lost a baby last year, stillborn at full term. They called her Rosie. I didn’t have the opportunity to make a blanket for Rosie, but I haven’t forgotten her when making this blanket for her newly arrived brother.

That's the number of squares done by now. I'm through my stash of leftovers, a few appear twice but most only once. A lot of the colors there's enough for at least one more square. But I think I'll put it away for now until I have new colors to continue.

To finish it I need about 100 to 150 additional squares. 18x14 to 20x15 is the target size.

Dug out another hibernating project. This blanket was started during the first COVID lockdown, May 2020.

Then I "forgot" about it for a long time. Over the last few days I added another 25 squares so I'm now about 1/3 done

The yarn is all leftovers from sock yarn, mostly from actual sock knitting. And there's probably enough to finish it if I don't get bored again ...

What I'm not looking forward to: weaving in ends

This is still a work in progress which will be connected using the same cream as the daisies.

My wonky lil blanket continues to grow. I will at some point have to figure out what to do to make it lay flat, but for now, I'm charmed by its weirdness.
