I break down and cry like that talking about my mum too - she gave up so much for me, and continues to be incredibly hard on herself, thinking that she was a bad parent, when she simply had an autistic kid who was diagnosed 40 years too late...

Educate, educate, and re-educate from the youngest age to imprint that male and female are equal individuals and that nothing happens between any two individuals without full consent. Power relationships will always plague us, but it doesn’t have to be at the expense of the innocents. But none of this can occur without activism and we have hobbled one of our finest. Australian values, my arse !
Oh, and call out, name & shame, try, convict and incarcerate all who trespass.
I have tremendous respect for #GraceTame and her work. But even for the most courageous activist and their most righteous cause, when it comes down to it they are up against ‘faceless’ detractors for any number of suspect reasons, and power relationships and funding (or defunding in this case).
Rattle the cages and the creatures within will bite back with a vengence.
