SHOW REVIEW - DIMENSION 20: GLADLANDS

i love the setting so much, the players all riff off of each other so well, i think this was incredible. especially vic michaelis, they were incredible in this and i hope they appear in more side quests in the future!!

i think this season's only weakness is that it wasn't longer. it really felt like the pacing was off because of how much the players wanted to spend time with people in different locations, and so while some locations and people got their full attention, others seemed like they were skipped over. i genuinely could have watched a 20 episode season in the gladlands, but hopefully they do a sequel and its 10 episodes

also the parts about the power of community and storytelling... the reflection on death and grief... the part on hiding your real self to protect your identity... that all got to me i fear. really got to me. anyway incredible season and i hope we get more

haven't yet finished the episode but i'm already loving this miniseason. first of all i always like it when stuff isn't in 5e, and i love that D20 keeps iterating on systems (i really hope they post a rulesheet like they did with Never Stop Blowing Up).
but also, the vibe's amazing. mad max meets care bears is surprisingly solarpunk - not in the aesthetic of course, but in the kind of plot one can play that isn't just fighting baddies.
