Now and then, the Muse drops tidbits on my head. Apparently the new jacket copy for #gitCommitMurder will open with:

"Hacker Dale Whitehead made himself leave his house.

Then the murders began."

$ git commit murder (novel)

If Agatha Christie ran Unix cons The BSD North conference draws some of the smartest people in the world. These few days will validate Dale Whitehead’s work—or expose him as a fraud. When a tragic death devastates the conference, only Dale suspects murder. Computer geeks care about code.

OK, just finished #gitcommitmurder and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am probably more conventionally attractive than the protagonist, but this describes exactly how I feel at technical and other conferences.

@mwl strongly disagree. My 11yr old picked up partially in chapter one of your #Ryoms book, then when I told her you did fiction and opened up #gitcommitmurder on my kobo, she was sucked into that as well!

Today: doctor, Costco, patronizer "See the Sausage Being Made" post, finalize plans for the #devotionAndCorrosion leather cases.

Also pondering how to get recycled circuit board cases or bindings for the complete #gitCommitMurder trilogy late this year.

@jpmens

no, but #gitcommitmurder will give them something to read while the caches synchronize.

This review of #af3e in the FreeBSD Journal leaves me feeling uncomfortably exposed. He reverse-engineered how I designed it?

And learning that people use #gitcommitmurder for date night has shook me to my core.

Well played, Mr. Stephan, well played.

One day, I'll be organized enough to get book reviews before publication. This... is not that day.

So you'll have to trust me that #gitsyncmurder is a worthy sequel to #gitcommitmurder. And that it's now available.

Today's pointless discovery:
