There should be a separate feed for #giftlinks that actually work. Or, at least some kind of special designation for links that have gone defunct, or are prone to being so.

I definitely do not appreciate that even when you come to one of those articles through a gift link, they still try to make the invited guest pay in the form of remitting an email address. Personal contact information is valuable data (otherwise why would they want it?), so requiring its surrender is definitely not "free". Shame upon you, #WashingtonPost.

I should note, I'll still boost #GiftLinks which are smart and a great innovation.
But why in the world hasn't some old media trade group created a sort of reciprocal membership? Subscribe to KC Star, get limited access to The Oklahoman (LOL-- who'd read that?) or whatever.
I mean, I can take my KC Zoo or Botanical Garden cards all across the country and get perks from their peers...
