babyaprilgatorthe hound has been sulking most of today — he has an injured foot, so he hasn’t been taken out for a Fun Run or a Vigorous Play or anything like that
but he did smile at me when i went out to say hello to him

it’s a rare thing for the dog to woof inside, but he just did and after a moment, i figured out why — the neighborhood turkeys are visiting the driveway
so i thought i’d pass it along — monday morning woof!
we took the hound for a long urban ramble and he was ASTONISHED that we kept running into dogs that looked just like him
MY DOG CUDDLED ME THIS MORNING
first time in two months — he slid while jumping up last time and became too spooked to attempt it again until now
happy!
I’ve come in from harvesting all the last summer goodness from my garden ahead of our first big storm of the season:
a bountiful heap of basil, a handful of tiny purple & white eggplants, a few last zucchinis, a pile of cherry tomatoes, & all the butternuts and delicatas
my dog is an acorn eater
it was a picnic on the ridge kind of evening
