Update: fake plates pickup guy gave himself a new Vermont paper plate, possibly after getting a ticket. If I'm reading correctly, the new piece of paper expires in 2027, so he should be good to go for a while.
This sociopath defaced their plate to stop getting camera tickets, yet still got over 100 parking tickets.
20 years ago, a van like this would have summoned a full response by ESU/SWAT and maybe the FBI.
Today, it's just another #ghostcarsofnyc.
Saw this work van back in November. Despite the Brooklyn address, its NYS registration was cut out out, and it had a fake GA paper plate expiring 12/16/22.
Saw the same van again this past weekend with a different fake GA plate showing a different plate number, this time expiring 2/6/23.
