I sub to #GarbageDaySubstack because l'm old but still want to grok social media's effect on society at large without actually having to engage in it beyond searching reddit, group Signal chats and some Mastodon. I find it thoughtful, entertaining and the limit of effort I want to put in that direction.

Today I was heartened to learn of Gen Z's ironic embrace of the saluting-face emoji as all the ships go down 🫡 Also solid observations on what decentralized looks like.
