I suppose you're right. To be fair, I only teach at the Schoolhouse on Thursdays, I'm usually only on-call for Sweet Apple Acres these days, and the #GameCenter is pretty self-sustaining.

ChancerubbageThe rocket badge is indeed some ‘Game Center’ intrusion likely not germane to the gameplay of that game, and certainly not relevant to my use.
I had to make the game a background item and reopen that tab to gain control and clear it out of the way of my content.
I was playing a stand alone casual puzzle game on my iPhone that really gains no advantage from connecting to Game Center, yet it does.
I recently had part of the playing screen obscured by some stupid round badge with a rocket on it. I tried to see if that was an in game ‘achievement’. Not that I could find. I had to quit the game to get rid of it.
