First test QSO with #FT8CN, #Xiegu G90 and DV27S mobile antenna. No cable connection at the moment, just sound transmission through the air (and PTT directly by hand).
To be able to run FT8CN on the old #Samsung Galaxy S4, I installed Lineage OS 18.1. #hamradio #Amateurfunk

I'm brushing up on using the #FT8cn app on my #Pixel9Pro with my QRP Labs QMX to do ultra portable #FT8. It's been a while since I used this app and tbh, I don't find it super intuitive so I need to practice.

I just love operating QRP and seeing what kind of propagation I can get with a bare bones setup. I couldn't complete the QSO with @KJ4LY, but he called me back after I responded from MI to his FT8 CQ from my Android phone running #FT8CN, which was also powering the #(tr)uSDX rig at less than 500mW. 20 meters with a mag mount ham stick antenna on the roof of the truck. Also got a spot in SC from @N4SYF. Incredible and fun!

not a bad 1st TX result for what seems to be about 1w from the QDX on 20m and 3w on 10m - some more fiddling needed to increase that 1w/3w and also with #FT8CN has it has its quirks #qdx #qrplabs #qrp #owthatironshot-butnotnow @2U0HZY
