I love Glossies – Youth winner

‘Most nights you will find “Glossy Bob” and I observing our local glossy black-cockatoo flock as they drink at their local water hole. I use my photographs to teach others about glossy black-cockatoos and raise awareness of their plight so that we can better protect them and their habitat.'

Life imitating art – Backyard birds winner

‘The gate in this picture was made by a friend. I like to take photos of birds on it and send them to him as an additional thanks for making it. On this day a noisy friarbird happened to briefly perch in the centre of the gate, striking a pose mirroring the tap below it.'
