The desert spiny lizard, Sceloporus magister , is primarily found in Arizona, Mexico, and parts of Arizona and Nevada. They are a relatively large lizard that can be found on rocks, trees, walls, and on the ground. They like to take shelter under logs, rocks, and will escape the heat and predators
