Did not know "I am the danger" was first a George Foreman quote. But he sure was, those of us that remember him in the early 1970's.
Stopped off at a chain pizza place to get something because Youngest was hungry. $44 for a small pizza, some garlic bread and a drink, plus $4.50 for parking. For a single meal for a 14 year old. I can make 10 larger pizzas at home for $50. What are other people doing?
Youngest took an archery class today at a regional park that maintains a 35 acre archery course that's free and open to the public. They got almost 2 hours of shooting and there was a demonstration where 3 experts shot balloons at 60 yards on the first try. One of them with a $100 recurve bow.
Sustainable fashion show put on by the high school, which meant everything was up cycled. A lot of fun, several hundred people there for 21 designers and 42 models (including Eldest's gf)
Someone posted about the city finding native american remains at a construction site. A friend worked fulltime on a team of archeologists categorizing remains or artifacts because they are found at nearly every construction site. Lots of people lived here for a long time.
Now listening to some of Karl Richter's incredible recordings of Bach organ music. Driving, yet calm.
Eldest and I have moved back to listening to only CDs on the big stereo. Unplugged the Raspberry Pi streaming server and bought a dedicated CD transport while using the DAC in the Logitech Transporter into the Linn bi-amped system. Maybe it's all an illusion but sounds better than I ever remember.
Solomon's early 1950's recording of Beethoven's Hammerklavier sonata is really special. The slow movement is as mesmerizing as it is patient. And what a weird piece of music.
Did not anticipate a $700 CD transport would make such a difference in the sound. Why/how?

Knew a guy that applied to be an air traffic controller after Reagan fired them in 1981. He said it was great because he got to play video games all day.
