Leaf đI used to go to #psytrance parties a lot when I was younger, mostly to outdoor parties or festivals because dancing in a club just can't compete with dancing under the open sky and especially at night, when the stars come out and the colorful decorations can display their full beauty.
A few festivals I attended used to play darkpsy at night, which I didn't really vibe with and just found stressful. But the other day I was in the mood for some psytrance and, for some reason, wanted to give darkpsy another listen and was surprised to really enjoy it, to find it quite mesmerizing and introspective.
And then I found out that there is also a genre called forest / #forestpsy that is kinda darkpsy with sound elements intended to evoke feelings of being in a forest at night and holy shit, now all I want to do is go to an outdoor party that plays forestpsy at night
