This came out pretty well if I do say so myself (although I need to tweak and re-print the bottom plate.)

The switch holes are not perfectly centered because of the way I built it up in #freeCAD (occurs to me to wonder if there's some kind of "re-center sketch origin to the center of the selected surface" option which would be extremely helpful) but I can live with it.

3mm walls maybe a little bit overkill but quite sturdy

Now I just need a couple of uninterrupted hours to solder

Got a chance to try out the push-to-talk footswitch tonight (D&D) and this is definitely The Future. I'm liking it a bunch.

I've really wanted a foot switch for push-to-talk. All the USB foot switches I've seen look like cheap plastic-y things and usually require proprietary Windows software to configure. Yuck.

For $20 you can buy a sustain pedal that's designed to handle musicians stomping on it on stage while performing.

For $4 you can get a rPi Pico. Add a 1/4" jack, 10K resistor, and configure QMK firmware for a 1x1 "matrix" sending SCROLL_LOCK and there you go!
