@fedora Scratch that, extending to 2024.05.21, the actual EOL date. I was looking at the #Fedora38 schedule, not the #Fedora40 calendar; they have different dates for the EOL.
Carry on! *Please do upgrade, though!*
PSA: Fedora Linux 38 will reach end of life on May 21, next Tuesday. Time to start upgrading. Fedora 39 will be supported for up to one month after the release of Fedora 41 (~6 months). Fedora 40 will be supported until a month after Fedora 42 (~12 months). ➡️ https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/fedora-linux-38-end-of-life-in-one-week/117069 #Fedora #Linux #OpenSource
Damn, It wants me to skip Fedora 39.
Is it possible to update to Fedora 39 from Fedora 38? I do not want to use Fedora 40 like now...
Hmm, something changed in a recent #Fedora 38 Gnome update. It no longer shows when Bluetooth devices are connected in the status tray so I keep leaving my headphones turned on, so they go flat or miss notification sounds when I've taken them off and forgot to power them off.
FWIW, while I was troubleshooting the "cannot update pipewire-codec-aptx" on my box, the necessary update to #PipeWire 1.01 magically appeared.
In case you had the same error for weeks as I did, try now.
TIL: #Fedora39 updated its #ext4 mke2fs defaults compared to #Fedora38, also adding `orphan_file`
I found that out, because unlike Fedora, which brings mke2fs 1.47.0, #LineageOS builds use 1.45.4 which doesn't support this newer option 🙃
As a reminder, @fedora 37 is going EOL tomorrow, December 5th!
Please make sure to upgrade to either Fedora 38 or Fedora 39 to stay on a supported version!

Alongside this, I will also be disabling the Fedora 37 build roots for any COPR project I run.
