To me, interaction is the most important thing in any social media network. That's why I turned off Bluesky bridges on any account I own here.
There is no value in just sending a feed to somewhere else, with no chance of interacting. Either just make a real account there and use it, or don't. Same applies to bridges to Mastodon. If you can't see my replies to your posts, it's worthless. #bluesky #bridges #fediversr

@nocleverhandle @timbray I just had someone on a siloed social network sniff at encouraging my community to move from #Twitter to the #fediversr because “that DAU is lower than #Gettr.” The “number go up” ethos is everywhere.

They had such strong opinions considering they never post to the Twitter community. Sorry, buddy, you don't get a vote if you never show up.

So now that I’m back to dealing with reverse chronological timelines, I’m reminded of an idea I toyed with a decade ago: draft your thread and have it published in reverse so it is timeline readable.

Maybe the #fediversr will pick this idea up and run with it…or maybe I’ll figure out how to code it for my new fedi friends.

@Lynessence where are folks hosting their #pics? My understanding is that uploading pics directly to the #mastodon server instance is very resource intensive. I have NOT yet shared photos due to not knowing the #fediversr #etiquette or #fediquette

Are you hosting #photos on your own server, #GoogleDrive or #DropBox? What about linking to pictures from the #BirdSite or #Flickr?

Is there is an easy way to #Toot a photo here but #uploads it elsewhere in #fediverse
