Just in from the #Southeastasian market in #FDRpark #Philadelphia first time there. Incredible eats and cheap! Fried Banana, fried potatoes, fried Taro 2 pieces for a dollar! Sticky rice $3. Can’t wait to go back.

Genuinely a much better plan than the current one for #FDRPark in #philadelphia.

Absolute farce at #FDRPark "community meeting" in South #Philly. Room packed with allies of politicos & athletic groups while opponents of Meadows destruction barred from entry. Signs forcibly taken from people, no public comments allowed. #Greenwashing #SaveTheMeadows
Urging everyone who wants to #SaveTheMeadows at #FDRPark in #Philly to sign the coalition's new petition.

The destruction of South Philly's largest tree canopy has begun, but the fight isn't over. Privatized land & airport expansion vs. a wilder & greener Philadelphia.
Save the Meadows: Stop the Destruction of South Philly's green space

We, the people of Philadelphia, demand that you STOP the destruction of the FDR Meadows, South Philadelphia's only public green space with urban meadow and woodlands. The development and privatization of our public lands is out of control in Philadelphia. The administration’s plan for FDR Park does not reflect the present-day needs and wants of the community. It is dangerous for the environment and public health, and it sets a precedent of privatization of our public lands that we, the public, do not accept.
