You know I don't normally like to get political, and my view points on politics doesn't traditionally align with what politics we have in the United States. I personally find the climate as it currently stands to be extremely embarassing.

But as an artist that has been known to draw erotic art, I am gravely conserned with the push for "pornography bans". It does make me worry about my future, because it might have to be something I deal with. The possibility that I would have to stop drawing the things that not only bring me joy (and others joy), but possibly even take my livelyhood.

I agree that pornography has a lot of problems. Traditionally with the abuse of women and trans individuals. I don't ever want to belittle that fact. If we were addressing that fact, then I wouldn't even have this rant. The problem comes from the idea of banning pornography entirely; and I think we all know that this is going to include artwork as well.

And what's even more crazy, is that I don't even normally draw porn. I just draw cute critters in diapers. But you know people don't see it like that. What I normally draw is HARMLESS compared to the sheer amount of actual real life violance that someone can find on youtube. It's pretty disgusting. Right now (and I am not joking), you can watch a child get crushed by an elevator in full detail, watch the police beat a man to death, and watch someone light themselves on fire and die. These things are all easily accessable to YOUR CHILDREN. (The children you let run free on the internet.)

Maybe part of why I feel so outraged by all this, is because either way, at this rate I will have to stop doing art because I'll have to pick up a second hard job to afford my rent. And I live in Ohio, it's not that expensive of a state. I'm "privlaged" by todays standards simply because I don't have any debt, even though I cannot afford a home and live off eating rice to save me a little bit of money. When my tablet died this year, it crippled me. No one should be living like this if they are working a job and a half.

And its not a "the president did this" thing. It's not a side thing. Yes, part of it is a post-covid thing, and us trying to recover from a national disaster. But the problem really is an entire establishment thing. We got people in multiple postions of power that are leading us down a path that I'm not really liking, that has me concerned for my future and my existance. And this includes AI. Don't even get me started on that. But you could start to see how someone such as myself, an LGBT+ Erotic Artist could have no place in the future. And we haven't even discussed trans erasure.

Normally this is the part where someone would say "make sure you vote for..."
99.9% of you are probably not in a postion of power to influence any of this, and we know that it goes beyond a simple "vote for X".
If history is to be believed, maybe I should be less concerned. We have progressed greatly since the 1960s (and don't let the downers tell you otherwise). Though, for every two steps forwards, it can feel like we take at least one step back.

Go out into the world with peace in your heart is honestly the best thing I can ask of you. If nothing else, we can be good to our fellow persons. And think about me, your humble diaper artist. :P
