South Korea’s Ministry of Land will expand mandatory low-energy building standards from public to private buildings, requiring new private structures to meet Zero Energy Building (ZEB) Grade 5 performance from December, in a move to cut energy costs and building-sector emissions.
The iEPB project is developing tools that support the alignment of various building performance assessments.
ISSO, as part of the iEPB team, is working on the creation of a comprehensive training programme to ensure that users can take full advantage of iEPB tools within their local context.

Let's find out which are main objectives of iEPB project!
iEPB aims to increase the synchrony between multiple EPB assessments, creating an EU common data model where the relevant building data is orderly stored. This common data model will allow for multiEPB assessment coordination, and it could be further expanded and scaled in the future to enable the integration of additional assessments.

South Korea will require all new private apartment buildings to meet Grade 5 Zero Energy Building standards from June 30, raising construction costs but promising significant annual energy savings and supporting national carbon neutrality goals.

" In the UK, any home for sale or rent has to get an #EnergyPerformance certificate. Assigned by a licensed home inspector, it comes with a rating, from G (least efficient) to A (most efficient), and recommends steps that the homeowner should take to improve the score, such as installing ceiling insulation or upgrading the boiler. It’s been eye-opening."
But so far, the ratings are not much reflected in the price.
We start our day in 🇳🇱, more specifically in Lemelerveld.
