Programs & systems evolve as the people & companies who use them evolve. It's a very messy process and no silver bullet from 4GL to object oriented languages to cloud systems or even nocode solutions is going to change that.

#AI is just the latest vaunted "silver bullet" but it requires sentience & empathy to weave the twine holding the whole mess together so it works well.
