"We don’t know yet whether the universe will end in fire, ice, or something altogether more outlandish. What we do know is that it’s immense, beatiful, truly awesome place, and it’s well worth our time to go out of our way to explore it. While we still can." - instead of waging wars, we should explore cosmos. I’m not reading the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
I’m reading The End of Everything.
I was reminded of #HHGG by the end of chapter Six, where Mack explains that either our ideas about vacuum decay or those about the early universe must be wrong, because otherwise vacuum decay should hav happend alredy and we shouldn’t be here.
