This contamination occurs since containers of vanilla ice cream actually contain French Vanilla Ice Cream with a mismatched French Vanilla lid.
Those with egg allergies can develop serious or life-threatening allergic reactions should they consume this ice cream. Affected are half-gallon containers with a “Sell By” date of June 19, 2026
This recalled ice cream was sold at Publix stores in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida, except for stores in Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Tampa, and Sarasota. Publix stores in Virginia and North Carolina are not affected.
