Indeed common decency tempers risks.
In organisational emergency, we welcome a saviour. It's very effective because he comes up with a solution.
In ecological catastrophes, there is no saviour because there is no solution. The emergency passed decades ago.
The problem goes much deeper. So we need to be careful that words convey ideas:
- an emergency calls for a solution ;
- tragedy requires a different relationship (to everything)
