I stopped by Tommy's place in Dutton Park Cemetery this morning. Died in 1938 aged nine years and four months on his way home from school.

Another sad story in an old cemetery - so young, so sudden, a parent's only child. The relatively good condition of the plastic flowers below also suggests that someone remembers Tommy, or the shadow of his death, nearly 86 years later. Or that someone else was touched by it.

The only thing I like about the new #duttonPark school’s name is that its IT department will most likely be called “BSSSCIT”.
