And the first fleet is ready for the table. I might come back to it to add detail, do a little clean up on some of those edges and maybe add the syndicate symbol as a freehand… but first I’m gonna paint a yacht and finish the prison guard fleet.
I thought panel lining and edge highlighting would drive me mad with the #dropfleetcommander ships I’m painting next. I’m actually quite enjoying the more technical style with the first ship. It’s the biggest of the syndicate ships of the Dreadhold box set.
Going for a quick scheme or as quick as it can get with all the edges on those.
One color + a shade of grey for each faction and one way to do metals for each. Both only with one highlight color. All over a black prime.

Finished painting my Scourge fleet for #DropfleetCommander this weeekend. Depending on how you measure, the entire fleet took either 3 weeks or 27 months. Green/purple colorshift base (Martian Green), a bottle I bought from GSW before I knew anything about them. The ships are covered in little beam pods I painted a simple orange gradient with a gloss finish.
