Alameda-based dragon boat racing team, the Alameda DragonFlyers, is headed to Venice, Italy for the 49th Annual Vogalonga Festival. A record number of athletes from across #VancouverIsland are tapped to race in #VictoriaBC this weekend, as #DragonBoats envelop local waters for the 2024 #FairwayGorge Super Sprints #regatta.
The one-day event will be held on Sunday, May 26, and organizers say more than 1,000 paddlers are expected to participate in 200-metre #SprintRaces on the #GorgeWaterway.
