My blood is normal AFAIK. Stories like this Australian donor who recently passed show the absolute nobility of being able to save a life. Or a couple million lives. With just a blood donation. It's not hard.

I was just saying that after this many #BloodSelfies on IG/FB, it was getting difficult to keep the content fresh!

Today I was crowned #PlateletPrincess as I made my 57th donation. ('Beautiful Princess' is a title that I've had since my daughter was getting dressed for Christmas and announced she was a Beautiful Princess—'like Daddy'.)

#CanadianBloodServices has often praised my excellent veins, and time after time, they tell me I'm an #HLAMatch, or #DoubleMatch, like today. In fact, we've come to the point where we're always assuming that my #platelets are a match for someone, and they only need to tell me when they're NOT.

I'm not sure if this title is national or regional, or how long I get to keep it, but I'm certainly happy to share with any other blood donors out there.
