Auch wenn das dokKa Dokumentarfestival Karlsruhe erst am 13. Mai eröffnet, sind die Vorbereitungen dafür schon in vollem Gange. Für mich war der Auftakt gestern, als ich die Auswahlkommission mit der Kamera besucht habe.

U.Lancier@damiandomes das #dokka festival in Karlsruhe ist eines von vielen Beispielen, warum Karlsruhe nicht nur eine Gründerhochburg dank der Hochschullandschaft ist, sondern auch, warum diese Unternehmen und ihre Mitarbeitenden gerne in Karlsruhe bleiben.
Leider ist die Finanzbürgermeisterin da etwas kurzsichtig, da sie nicht begreift, dass der Erhalt dieser Kulturszene ein wesentlicher Punkt ist, warum die hochgebildeten Mitarbeiter gerne in der „kleinen“ Stadt bleiben und arbeiten. Die 300k Stadt konkurriert national und international mit den Millionenmetropolen.
(An der U-Bahn ist die heutige Stadtführung allerdings kaum mehr schuld, das ist schon viele Legislaturen zurück. Die klammen Kassen sind dem Bund und Land geschuldet, die den Kommunen Aufgaben aufbrummen ohne sie zu finanzieren.)

Mit inklusiver Atmosphäre, Raum für Gespräche, und natürlich mit bewegenden Filmen feierte das überregional renommierte Festival dieses Jahr bereits seine 12 Auflage.
