#Eugene #Astronomy club members this morning at 4am to look at the
#Titan shadow transit on
#Saturn's face. At 375x power on the club's 14.7"
#Dobsonian telescope, it was at the limit of what we could discern, and depended on those instants of clear seeing that only show up every few minutes... briefly I saw the little dark dot just below the ring plane. Saturn was large and banded in grey, yellow and pale green. The rings were mostly edge on with no detail, but clear. It had what looked like two bright moons, one well out to the wast and a smaller one below to the east. The mount was not motorized, so you had to move it every 60 seconds or so as it scooted off the edge of the view.
