What's /actually/ going on with knote is fascinating to me -- the boox has a low-level pen input api that handles the screen draw at a near-hardware level, saving the slower rectangular region refreshes that android can normally produce for second/fine render after the fact, with a natural trigger of using the eraser. Thus the screencast is streaming what android itself has drawn on the screen correctly, just not capturing the lower level eink interactions.
