Very grateful to have gone to the Tamara de Lempicka exhibition at the de Young on its closing day.

There's an exhibition of the works of Tamara de #Lempicka at the #DeYoung that I'd like to visit but they are charging seniors $32/person just to look at the exhibit.

Then there's the $20 general admission fee to the museum (except on Saturdays which is free) plus about $20 for parking plus about $35 for gas to drive 140 miles into/out of The City plus $17.75 for tolls (because I drive over the SR & GG bridges to get into The City) for a total cost, just for me of about $125 just to drive into The City to see it. Up that to about $180 for 2. And that doesn't include lunch at the museum (which is awful & overpriced) or elsewhere outside of the park. 🤦‍♂️

Hmmm??? 🤔

Guess I'll just view her work for free on the Net. 🤷‍♂️

I have a large framed poster of her painting entitled "Adam & Eve" hanging above the open stairway in my house. Just love looking at every time that I walk up & down the stairs for free as well.

I'd buy more examples of her work if I had more wall space but unfortunately I don't.

Visit Tamara de Lempicka's First U.S. Retrospective in San Francisco This October — Colossal

Nearly one hundred years after Tamara de Lempicka (1894-1980) first exhibited her work in San Francisco, a sweeping survey of the storied and glamorous artist opens again in the city.
