D'espairsRay is a japanese VisualKei band founded in 1999.
Their music style is something between industrial/metal/alternative and changed over the years. They were one of the most popular japanese Visual Kei bands in the West, with many live performances all over the world.
In 2011 the vocalist Hizumi had severe damaged vocal chords and so the band decided to discontinue.
