泥眼 (Deigan) - 「包帯」 (Houtei) | 2025

One of the early highlights of 2025. What a perfect composition between strong guitar riffs and a melodious chorus. The riffs itself constructed to close as a perfect circle, while the chorus leans on old school visual kei and chruch inspired elements. Much love to this young Visual Kei band. I hope they will have bright future ahead!

猫背のネイビーセゾン (Nekoze no Navyseason) - 「Dole Playing」 | 2025

A small and fun J-Rock band, with a very annoying name but banger music. Nekoze are very creative, with a little punk mixed in and very satisfying bass lines. I can highly recommend them. They need more support!

@ami_angelwings I often have trouble answering these QotD questions, but this one I got! Immediately jumping into my head is Ar nosurge. The entire series (Ar tonelico and Ar nosurge if you count them together) has AMAZING music — more so than I can put into words — and Ar nosurge has truly amazing music all through the game, but even the very first area's music got me with this one as it somehow exceeds even its predecessors.

It's annoying with the dub voice really loud talking over and everything in the actual game, but the introductory text features something really pleasant by Origa. (Timeline-wise, this game must have been among her last works btw.) I'll just be nice and share the OST version without the voice:

Acidman - 青い風 (Aoi Kaze/ Blue wind) | 2025

In October Acidman released their newest album. As I am currently not much into Acidmans music with their recent changes i nearly skippded the album. I had to force myself to add it. But then: it's a masterpiece 😂 they only released the annoying poppy songs, but the rest of the album has that perfect Acidman magic. I get goosebumps listening to 青い風.
