Und weil ich so fresh bin, habe ich das Linux Mint Desklet auch gleich noch als KDE-Plasmoid (Desktop-Widget) umgesetzt. Immerhin teste ich parallel zu meinem geliebten Linux Mint aktuell KDE Plasma und will möglichst alles so einrichten, wie ich es mag 🥰 Läuft bei mir!

Allerdings hätte das niemand ohne Programmierkenntnisse nur mit KI hinbekommen. Gemini in der kostenpflichtigen Pro-Variante verrennt sich ebenso wie Chat GPT ständig in unsinnigen Endlosschleifen, die man nur mit ausreichend Kenntnissen und Erfahrung aus der Praxis in die richtige Richtung lenken kann.

Die KI ist halt immer noch eine "Inselbegabung", die alleine nicht ans Ziel kommt, man mit Ihr zusammen aber rasend schnell sein kann.

Ich kannte mich mit der Deskleterstellung überhaupt nicht aus, aber das ist heute kein Hindernis mehr.

Going to be a very long while before it's useful, I think, because I have no idea what I'm doing with Electron/Node, and I'm not a fan of JavaScript. I should be able to get a super-basic Hello World type thing going pretty quickly though, since the Electron tutorials actually work.

My quest to have the perfect (ha!) desktop continues; I've been looking into making Cinnamon desktop widgets ("Desklets").

Instead of having out of date documentation like KDE Plasma 6, there's just no documentation. 🤷

Maybe if I hit the lottery this week I'll quit my day job, reverse engineer these desktop widget systems, and write up to date docs and tutorials. 😛

Rainmeter might be the Windows app I miss most, somehow.
