Right at the top of James Madison's proposed constitutional amendments:

"That Government is instituted and ought to be exercised *for the benefit of the people*; which consists in the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the right of acquiring and using property, and generally of pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety."

This job description obviously doesn't fit the acts committed by today's anti-American "Republicans" regrettably holding public offices.

Where's the benefit for the people from today's "GOP's" existence even?
